From Jeff Hamlett, owner of Hamlett Construction . . .

I was meant to build and make things from wood.  At the age of six I was asked by my first grade teacher to help others in the class finish making a wooden cow.

I was building furniture and restoring antiques in high school, and that lead me to residential construction.

I spent five years learning from an older German craftsman.  We built our own cabinets, doors, and custom millwork which were installed in lavish homes in Beverly Hills, Bel Air, and other cities in Los Angeles.

I spent eight years in Los Angeles contracting as a sole proprietor before moving to Ashland, OR.  I have spent the last eight years building the same quality homes in the Rogue Valley as well as creating occasional custom furniture and other wood works.

I describe my approach to construction as an opportunity for me to work collaboratively with clients to provide their desired design outcomes with superior quality done in an ethical and respectful manner.
